Program Development Associate
About Vital Healthcare Capital (V-Cap):

Vital Healthcare Capital (V-Cap) is a mission-driven Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that finances development of quality healthcare and good healthcare jobs in low-income communities. V-Cap supports community-based healthcare providers such as Community Health Centers and Mental Health Centers through flexible and advantageous financing, targeted development services, and strong community partnerships.
Position Summary:
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting vulnerable communities; and thrives in a small, collaborative, and creative work environment. This position will support V-Cap’s external communications, market development activities, and health sector research. The position requires a strong balance of project management skills; excellent communication capabilities; and fluency with financial and quantitative information. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, show drive to make a difference in low-income community healthcare, and demonstrate creativity and skills to contribute to V-Cap’s mission. This is a NYC based position, supporting V-Cap’s work across all V-Cap markets.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Content and Communications, including content editing, development, and posting across digital platforms, build-out of website and social media presence, and management of communications database.
Development of visually compelling and well-researched materials for external presentations, reports, and grant proposals targeted to healthcare and funding audiences.
Research support, including analysis of public health data, developing profiles of potential community health investees, review of organizational financial statements, and tracking of policy developments affecting our sector.
Operational and administrative support, including assistance with platform and database management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and demonstrated depth of interest in related health and social impact fields.
1 to 2 years of experience in a related field or organization, such as a community development organization, health policy setting, community healthcare provider, workforce development organization, foundation, advocacy organization, or social impact finance organization.
Excellent written, graphic, oral and relational communication skills, including demonstrated ability to produce written and presentation content.
Strong ability to find, understand, and integrate into work product diverse sources of information, including financial reports, narrative documents, quantitative information, and public policy.
Adept at current business software platforms, including MS Office suite (Excel/Word/Powerpoint), G Suite products, social media platforms, Squarespace, database/CRM applications, and data visualization platforms (such as Tableau).
Able to quickly grasp new information, acquire knowledge and contribute to finding creative solutions.
Strong commitment to social justice and economic and racial equity, and to investing in care for our most vulnerable populations.

Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with robust benefits, including comprehensive health insurance, ancillary benefits and retirement savings plan.
Salary Range $75,000 to $85,000, dependent on credentials, directly related experience and skills sets.
